OIC students ace Individual Maths Challenge

The results from the Individual Maths Challenge are in: we won it all!

Out of our total entry of 152 students, our students won 38 Gold, 40 Silver, and 41 Bronze medals. One participant deserving of special mention is Jae, who scored full marks, and was also on the team that achieved full marks during the Group Challenge.

The results are especially impressive given the way medals are awarded: top 5% receive gold, top 5-15% receive silver, and the next 15% bronze. This is an achievement on a national scale, and a testament to our Maths Department tireless work in educating and inspiring our students.

Our 38 Gold medalists will now enter the next round of competition, which is the Senior Kangaroo. Those that achieved a score of 100 or higher can also be entered into the British National Olympiad, which will take place on the following week.

Congratulations once more to our high achievers, and best of luck to those representing OIC in Kangaroo and the Olympiad!
